Roz is designed with a local-first approach. Your routines, tasks, reminders, timers, and personal productivity data are stored on your device, not on our servers. We believe your personal planning data should remain under your control.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you when using Roz.

Information Stored on Your Device

Roz stores the following information locally on your device:

  • Tasks
  • Reminders
  • Timers
  • Progress and streaks
  • App preferences and settings

We do not upload this information to our servers.

Information We Collect

While your routine data stays on your device, we collect limited information necessary to operate, improve, and support the app.

Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics and PostHog to understand how Roz is used and to improve the app.

This information may include:

  • Device type
  • Operating system
  • App version
  • Language
  • Country or approximate region
  • Anonymous identifiers
  • Feature usage
  • Session information

This data helps us improve performance, understand feature usage, and develop new features.

Roz does not request access to your precise GPS location. Analytics providers may infer an approximate location from technical information such as your IP address.

Crash Reports

We use Firebase Crashlytics to detect and fix software issues.

Crash reports may include:

  • Device model
  • Operating system version
  • App version
  • Diagnostic information
  • Crash logs

This information helps us improve the stability and reliability of Roz.

Subscriptions

If you purchase Roz Premium, subscription management is handled through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

We use RevenueCat to validate purchases, manage subscriptions, and restore previous purchases.

RevenueCat may process information such as:

  • Anonymous customer identifier
  • Subscription status
  • Product identifiers
  • Purchase and transaction information

Roz never receives your payment card details. All payments are securely processed by Apple or Google.

AI-Powered Routine Suggestions

Roz offers optional AI-powered assistance to help you create or improve routines and tasks.

When you choose to use this feature, the information you provide for that specific request (such as your routine name, goals, or task descriptions) may be securely sent to OpenAI to generate suggestions.

This information is used only to process your request and return a response. We do not use it to build advertising profiles or personalize advertisements.

Using AI-powered suggestions is entirely optional.

Advertising Attribution

If you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, Roz may use Apple's Search Ads attribution services through RevenueCat.

This allows us to understand whether an Apple Search Ads campaign resulted in an app install or subscription so we can measure the effectiveness of our marketing.

This information is used only for advertising measurement and marketing analytics. It is not used to display personalized advertisements within Roz.

If you choose not to grant permission, the app will continue to function normally.

Notifications

Roz uses local notifications to remind you about your routines and scheduled tasks.

These notifications are created and managed on your device. Roz does not use remote push notifications to deliver reminders.

How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Improve app performance and reliability
  • Analyze feature usage

Roz is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law.
